Leopard lily 射干 Shè Gān
Shè Gān is a perennial and herbaceous plant with a six-petaled flower. Blooming in late summer with each one only lasting a day.
Description
Height: up to 4 feet tall
Soil: loamy, moderately fertile, well draining soil
Use: this herb is cold and bitter, therefore it is used to clear heat and remove toxins according to traditional Chinese medicine
Harvesting: the rhizomes are harvested after at least 3years, in late fall or early spring
