Our Planning Group
Meet the planning group for the TCM Herb Learning Garden that came together in August 2022: from left to right: Joseph, Angela, Kim, Brian and Chris (who originally started the project a couple years ago)
Started in 2021
With permission and support from staff at Loutet Farm, in 2021 Chris started growing a variety of TCM herbs in under-utilized growing areas around the Loutet Farm site for the purposes of promoting TCM and the cultivation of medicinal plants. The project was envisioned as a community initiative, and Chris worked to promote the garden and its learning opportunities by holding a seedling sale of TCM herbs in the first year, and leading a workshop around TCM herbs and recruiting volunteers in the second year.
This garden is run by a small group of local volunteers and CM practitioners. Please contact us at tcmherbvangarden@gmail.com if you are interested in a tour, learning more about this project, or wish to get involved.
